Connected to router but not internet: Vista

Recently installed Vista Business @home though... My wireless adapter is connected to the router with excellent strength but i cannot connect to the internet.

What settings am i missing for vista since on XP this is not a problem?
 
Did you upgrade from your Windows XP (Professional?) installation or did you do a clean install of Windows Vista Business Edition?
 
check your Gateway IP, ipconfig /all, if assigned via dhcp, set a static IP,Gateway and Dns Server

Dual boot....

I've been searching for this problem on the internet found it's a common problem, especially with Netgear Wireless USB adapters on Vista. I can connect peer-to-peer but not internet. In fact, i can't ping the Telkom router (ping 10.0.0.2)... Does Ad-Hoc bypass the Telkom router (connects directly from pc-to-pc not via Telkom 5102G router)...

Anybody running vista using wireless USB adapter to connect to the internet?
