Real Fast Virgin 3g!!!!! On 6630,80

I just made a real breakthrough with a certain once legal app and manually selecting vodacom on network settings on my 6630[any nokia s60 3g with duel option will work.]

I live in Plumstead and never got 3g even when on vodacom.
the kicker is netmonitor![there are consequences]
Now i dont know why the app is now banned,but i had a copy of it for years and never tried it.I installed it and have ssssuper fast 3g and my signal is full!!!
For those who dont know, Netmonitor forces 3g only on a duel mode phone[ my wonderful 6630]and doesnt take crap from that gprs antennae!It works on Mtn as well.I dont ever lose a signal,but even on mtn when it drops to two bars it still beats the pants off gprs/edge.The only reason i would suggest not to use it is because it does use a hell of alot of battery power and i heard it could make yr phone redundent.[worth the risk]

In fact i would go as far as to say life is too short to spend it waiting for pages or downloads to finish and despite the negatives of this app, people can now take full advantage of real broadband!!!.

if i understood correctly. This works on your virgin card? while using your phone as modem?
Wow! interesting... i'd like 2 know more...
 
I have a SonyE k800i, I just select the vodacom 3G network manually and I have 3G on Virgin, no need for netmonitor.

Im in Bergvliet btw using 3G on virgin now
 
Fire away MO,how can i assist you?What phone you got?As for Netmonitor do a google search NETMONITOR.SIS.Afraid i cannot give you the location as Nokia made it illeagal.
 
hmmmm instead of manually choosing vodacom all i do is choose UMTS only instead of dual then it only pics of 3G signal with any network

Im referring to nokia 6630,6680 and other s60 phones that do not have the UTMS option.We either have duel mode or gms.
Anybody with these phones get 3g for brief periods and it reverts back to ol' gprs, or no signal at all.
With this technique we can now "force" a 3g signal.
In my opinion 3g with a 2bar signal beats the living !@## out of gprs or edge for that matter.

AHHHH i remember now when i had a 6630 The damn thing disconnected everytime it went from 3G to gprs. lol Really wish this was available sooner

To hazard a guess;

it provides access to available - but deactivated - functionality in phones, that they would otherwise have charged more for.

Like drilling the hole in the 3½ floppies to make then HD disks ;)

The search engines take you on a wild goose chase! - surely you can upload it to a file sharing site, dump it on an ftp site or email it out?
 
Dude,Nokia banned this prog.from nearly every site i visited.And Nokia are giving stern warnings about this prog.I found the prog after 4 hours of going through googles search results.Since im not a lawyer can anybody tell me if i may give Carudden a link to this thread without getting beaten up by the titans at Nokia?

giving directions to a crimescene cannot be a crime.
Nokia has better things to do than to look for you:cool:
 
they cannot doanything to you if you tell someone that you can find somthing illegal at a spesific web site.
If i tell you that you can get the latest games in durban beachfront is that a crime in itself. no
