I want to play online games, but the performance is so poor. I have Telkom ADSL 384k. What else do I need? This ridiculous.

I read an article in a PCGamer from 1997, where they got good results playing first person shooter games. 1997! OMG! It's 2007 now.

We are in the dark ages.

I presume you are playing on international servers then? Got nothing to do with connection bt distance from the servers you are playing on. IE High ping

What games you play? i play most games online & my dsl 384 works perfectly on local servers.

I have the same connection and have no hassles with multiplayer GOW or lost planet - great with players from anywhere - occasional lag with international but still plays fine, just the effing cap, cant download that much content:mad:
 
Yeah we are definately in the dark in terms of caps & speeds.
But 384k is more than sufficient for games including voip.
 
...experiance occasional lag on a 56k. :eek:
