I wish someone on this forums could pust up my installtion time..
I could help you , I have the number of a guy in CT that works with ADSL only , I also had a long wait for my ADSL installation : Here's the story :
Went to Telkom, applied for ADSL - I wanted to do the self-install so I could get the free modem.
I had to apply for a normal telephone line as well, so I included this in my application.
Then my problems began, I wasn't given a reference number etc and after a LOOOONG fight with Telkom they were ready to install my ADSL.
When they phoned to tell me the installation was going to happen the next day I was excited ,only to be told I can't get a self-install when getting a normal line installed as well.
SO : The guy that told me I can't get the self-install arranged for me to get a normal line installed
the next day, but told me that I needed to re-apply for my ADSL.
So I thought : This will be another two week wait : But NO, Willie asrranged my ADSL in
under four days from my complteing the new installation to it getting done! And he managed this while he knew the process goes through at least 10 ppl's hands in Telkom... He somehow kept track of my application and hlped me QUICK!
