Are the iBurst top up prices for real?!?

Hi All,

I read through this forum alot but have never posted until now but this latest development from iBurst is so insane i had to post it:

Basically the old prices for a top up were:
500mb extra = R 139
1gig extra = R 229 - R 139 (depending on package)
3gig extra = R 439 -R 349 (depending on package)

Still expensive but all right for aquick top up. But you wont believe the new prices!!! :

As of 1 April new "BOOSTER BANDWIDTH" prices:
extra 100mb = R 110
extra 200mb = R 209
extra 500mb = R 495 (was R139!!!)
extra 1000mb = R 853 !!!
extra 2000mb = R 1540 !!!
extra 3000mb = R 2145 !!!
extra 6000mb = R 3630 !!!
extra 9000mb = R 4950 !!!

Jeez! it is cheaper to buy 3 new 3gig packages than to top us with 3 extra gigs! Can you believe this! :eek: :eek: :eek:

I am cancelling my home and business contracts because of this ludacris new development by them!:sick:
 
These are to come into effect from the new month.

It was attached to the latest channel parter newsletter from Knott-craig JNR sent to the resellers last week.

With the new packagings (the "iBurst-Play" and "iBurst-Pro") newsletter.
 
Surely there would have been a press lease or something?
But if this is true Iburst will receive my cancelation letter shortly
 
It looks like I won't be regretting the fact I will not be an iBurst subscriber come end of April.
 
Could any of the resellers please post the entire letter? Whats the new packages about? This doesn't sound good at all. :(
 
If the letter is indeed true, then WebHostingTalk has hit the nail on the head.
 
I doubt that it is correct as that would be a crazy move for them to make since that would chase all their customers away.
 
One has to believe that they meant to divide those prices by 10. It's the only way it can even begin to make sense.
