Getting ADSL in Weltevredenpark, JHB

Hi,

Does anybody living in Weltevredenpark have ADSL?
I have been trying for 3 years now.

Finally last year october I managed to place an order again.
All I had to do was wait for the exchange to be upgraded which for the past couple of months should have been done by 07/03/29.

I phone them almost every day to complain (for what its worth) and the job has been escalated so many times I cant remember anymore.

I phone them again this morning and suddenly they tell me now its the 30th April. Another month. Very soon it will be 4 years with still no ADSL!

Is there anyone here having the same problem in this area?
I have friends in different directions all around not much further than 3-4km away and they all have ADSL.

2 years ago one of my orders were confirmed and the installation date (at my house) was set. I even went and bought an ADSL modem (expensive one).
After a while I received a call telling me 'sorry we cant install'.

I dont know what to do anymore??? I dont want to use iBurst anymore.
It's slow! It expensive! (very) It's crap!!!

The only option left I can think of is moving because I work from home a lot and my business is losing money because of this!

Stig! Apollo is closer to you than even Sangoma, and he has 4mb! It was installed 7 days after he requested it end of 2005!

I dont get it. What is wrong???

I find it really hard to believe that a large suburb like weltevredenpark can't have adsl yet in 2007. Telkom must pull their head out their ass.

I agree!!! They have been stuffing me around so much!
