My thoughts on Greenlab Local Torrents

This is a PM I sent to the Admin, after he added 8GB to my account, and got banned for downloading, apparently for not seeding :)

Ive been seeding the last 24 hours (the amount of time I had my greenlab account, having reactived after inactivity because I never used it before) and ive uploaded 2GB in the last 24 hours.. thats is my total upload ever.

The only times I stopped seeding in the last 24 hours has been 10 to 20 minutes when I went onto my unshaped account, and the other time was when I just seeded 24 S06E15 which I uploaded, to check something regarding upload verus download speed for seeding purposes and the amount of connections, how it impacts connection performance for optimal traffic throughput.

All together that was bout an hour of not seeding in the last 24 hours...

Explain to me now how I am not seeding, however I have heard on MyADSL about the strict actions taken upon users and I thought they (the users) were in the wrong, knowing how they low leeching, but now I clearly see you the way you act. Your torrent community may not grow very fast if this is the way you choose to handle your users.

Just a friendly warning, cause I know I did nothing wrong, and was doing my best for uploads in the last 24 hours. So you were wrong to add that 8GB and ban me from download, especially since my ratio has never been in the red.

IS News Servers is most probably still the better place to be for now, so that where I will continue downloading my content. I hope you have taken this PM as assistance and not a personal attack, but I am offended that you did not look into the account with more detail.

This message will be posted on MyADSL aswell to view their opinion on the matter.

Just wanted to share my views of Greenlab and continue to rather recommend IS News Servers, just simpler, and dont have to worry bout uploads... cause even if you do upload its not enough for them :)

Note: My Upload speed was limited to 30kb per second, so they cant complain :D
 
Not sure what you trying to say to me, but the 7.xGB downloaded was a torrent marked free and did not count towards the total traffic. Until the admin said there was no seeding occurring which is simply a false statment.

As I said before in the IRC, if I was found to be incorrect due to some rule that I did not read, I will say sorry and continue, but so far I believe I was within the requirements of the website.

If you can eplain what you are trying to say with the above info, go ahead.

lol, IS News Server is way more reliable. :cool: anyways, I dont do pr0nz - yuck!!!1 Anyways that irrelevant, just asking if I did indeed do something incorrect, if I did, then I will understand, just want some idea of the situation regarding torrent networks such as this one.
 
Erasma, the download only came into affect of 10GB after the free torrent was counted towards the total traffic, that is the entire point I was trying to make and wanting to understand what he means by I wasnt seedning, if you can clearly see Global:Uploaded 2.50 GB for the last 24 hours 2.50 - 350MB you get for free.

The torrent was a FREE torrent. ;)

The only reason I am posting this is as a warning to others that go and get free torrents, and then you notice it gets counted towards the total... Admin says there was no seeding, however he is incorrect.
 
I uploaded one from scratch, and seeded around 14 others... counteless I had from the IS News Server, to get the ratio up in the first place

I did seed 2.3GB around there.. look at the stats, but I wasnt seeding only the one file ;)

I was seeding 14
 
this is why teh best local torrentz are private. this nub shudnt never have even knowed bout local scene cuz he cant stfu bout it :sick:

As I said I joined, but the first time I used my account was yesterday, when I got it reactivated by Freaksta I think it was.

Now seriously, I know I am right, so seriously... you wont win because I know on my netmeter it shows 1.537GB uploaded today, and 903Mb yesterday.

I joined MyADSL Feb 05, but I still only started posting here often and using my forum account in like June/July.

I was just told you are in a bad mood today so seriously grow up, cause you were wrong in this regards.

Look and see if I had activity in those last 8 weeks.

U bragging bout dling warez in genral discusion on a site read by peeps from megarom and ea. u are probly teh dumbest guy on teh whole internets :(
 
Greenlab just doesn't match the level of the news-servers and other local torrent sites. Plus they are quick to ban people it seems when a warning would suffice. Not to mention the emails incident, that's a big one, I started getting spam after that happen from bunch of scummy local computer resellers, utterly disgusting.

Also the private trackers have people directly linked to the scene and content is usually up at the same time it reaches the News servers if not sooner, Greenlab can't compete, except that anyone can join which is a disadvantage anyway. I can sign up leech the crap out of a account until I get banned then get a new account and just go at it from the start.

"enough said" (was it really necessary to post those stats twice :rolleyes: )

I shared the entire time look at the freaking stats, I uploaded like 95% of what I could... !!

IVE ONLY BEEN AN ACTIVE MEMEBER FOR AROUND 24 HOURS... and I uploaded near on 2.5GB as your staff that activated my account yesterday or the day before.

no man, good gawd, stop watching teletubbies. it has ruined your spelling capabilities. and thank you for blessing us with your 7331 presence. and thank you for warning MrG about being a pirate. i am sure he will be arrested today or next monday at least.

wrt the ratios: does this mean you should leave your seeds up for a LOOOOOOONG time before using your account? just in case you need to download something big in the future which might screw up your ratios?

Greenlab is a good idea, but they unfortunately do act way to fast before looking at the facts... I simply stopped seeding for around an hour, that includes downloading, due to international unshaped access I needed, and following that testing the best upload speeds as I said before, to continue receiveing download aswell from IS news etc, and then the number of connections on the bit torrent client.

Done... im finished with this... just wanted to share my opinion, I still know I am right, even though the admin of greenlabs wants to think otherwise and make me look lke an idiot but yeah...

Im out. :)
