Dear all,

Can someone please point me in the right direction in how to get in contact with the right people at iBurst? I have been made promises by a Henry Dladla since the 21st of March that someone will contact me to facilitate the closure, but nothing has happened. Every time I call the accounts department (4 times) I have spoken to a Gerald Makhubedu and every time he tells me that the "retentions department" needs to call me, which is where the apparent incompetence lies.

Is there someone on this board from iBurst that can please assist me via this channel, as it appears that our iburst colleagues in the rententions department does not know how to use a phone.

Thanks, rudi

With this company you need to take it to www.hellopeter.co.za if they don't respond after a phone call and 2 emails.

What you could first try is to call Shireen Powell who is the iBurst Customer Relations Manager and tell her to get them to respond.

I have done my cancellation last month and it was cancelled the end of March. Send an e-mail for Phil Buthelezi [[email protected]] and ask him to phone you. He phoned me and said to me if the retention department does not contact me I must let him know and he did push them. I was suppose to be with iBurst until end April, but he got it through before the end of March. Otherwise send and e-mail to Tasleem Ismail [[email protected]] [Retention Executive].

I must say it was the best move I have ever made. Very happy with Vodacom 3G and at least their Customercare help you and even phone you back to find out if everything is OK.

I cancelled my iBurst in mid Feb and got a confirmation from Phil and I just received my invoice for the month of April. Portia and Phil are apparently on it as of yesterday and I haven't heard anything since.

Can't say im the least bit surprised.

Nope not surprising at all since the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing, then to top it they'll blame it on the software.
This must be the most incompetent company in all departments I've ever come across.

There might be one or two competent people working there but tuff for them since it's their fault they work for such a useless company.

Absolutely right. In the space of an hour two people from the SAME DEPARTMENT (retentions) called me to discuss the closure of my account. Whilst the first person understood my request and actually dealt with it, the second person knew nothing about the first caller's conversation and tried to convince me to stay, questioning my reasons for closing the account.

I was probably one of iBurst' first customers a few years back, and must say that the service and customer satisfaction levels decrease to an absolute low, where it is finding itself right now.

I was made to spend literally thousands on a new router, external antenna and callout fees to resolve the most irritating random disconnecting, which has now become synonymous with the iBurst service. Whilst I do not mind paying for things that are needed, I am absolutely allergic to wastage! Needless to say the random disconnects are still taking place...

I was given 1.5 Gigs as apparently I need to give a full calendar month´s notice. Any ideas what I can do with this, download all the windows updates manually for the next year...Isn´t it annoying every time the PC boots it wants to update...

Enuff said, happy Easter to all the Christian members out there. God Bless.
