VGA HD Cable

ok so say for instance i want to connect my x360 to my lcd monitor of which the native resolution is 1280x1024. So i go along and by myself a VGA HD cable....now here comes my questions:

1. Will i be able to experience my games in true HD?

2. how on earth do i hook it up to my soundcard or 5.1 pc speakers?

3. where the hell do i get a VGA HD cable in the durban area? :confused:

AFAIK HD is dependent on the resolution you choose but in short yes - you would play in HD.

schweet bwana! i think thats exactly what i need but the thing is, i wonder if any of the retail stores sell it. waiting 10 days for something i've ordered isnt my cuppa tea :D

Check with BT Games and I think incredible connection has it..

You plug your optical cable into this cable for 5.1

i played my 360 on my 19 inch flat screen from day one...when I played halo 2 i needed to switch to a normal tv for the update...I was amazed at the difference! 360 on a normal tv looks like ps2 graphics....

ok so i finally managed to get the cables from BT Games at Tygervalley. whoohoo! however, i've noticed that some games look really crappy at 1280*1024. Example, NFS Carbon. it looks as tho im running it at 800*600 whereas other games like GOW and Fifa 06 looks really brilliant.

Any ideas as to whats up here ?

Hmm, just a guess, but it's probably upscaling from 720p or trying to "stretch".

Same thing happens to Most Wanted, the game will run 640x480 if you set the res to 1280x1024. Try 1280x720 or 1360x768, it runs in HD at that res but you have to deal with the picture getting stretchd up to fit the screen.

most 1280X1024 goes widescreen... i dont mind,
GOW, Lost planet, PG3, PDZ looks fine
