GOW versus y do I suck

so i dont get it - i play GOW versus and if I have the shotgun i have to shoot someone 4 - 5 times before they are down yet other people come near me and one shot from a shotgun and I'm in two million 3 hundred and thirty six pieces - so i just dont get it.....
 
dude thats the diffuclty setting thats it's on, can you imagine how easy that game would be with one shot? dude counter strike is annoying when you alone and play bot's coz rifles and shot guns just kill on spot.

nah it has nothing to do with diffulcty settings , everyone is on the same settings, its on multiplayer...just doesn't make sense why..anyhow i probably just suck :eek:
 
Nah trust me, I suck too. :p

Mind you, I was playing multiplayer before I had even looked at single player (damn you doobiwan! :D)

3 things...

1. Head shots count for more - aim for the head
2. Active reload makes the gun more powerful - always active reload
3. You suck :)... But don't worry so do most of us...

We had an awesome game the other night when we had 8 guys who all sucked playing against each other.. It was the best game I have ever played as I actually got to kill people...

Anyway add me to your list and if we are on at the same time we can suck together :D (LazySAGamer)

Are you playing against locals or are you joining international servers? Lag is a killer when playing on US/EU hosted games.

huh, i have a similiar problem with kids, except they won't let me play, they take over, they are so much better....anyhow i am improving, plus the new version game where you respawn is awesome

@Geek, i had to dude :D . . .and what are you complaining about anyway, you got a few kills and on some pretty decent okes as well! That's mroe than I do most nights . . .

I find a lot of it has too do with timing and lag unfortunately. You can still play on a laggy server, but the guys that can judge the latency shot do the best. The controls don't react immediately either, you need to really understand the "cutscene" timing.
 
cool but we are going to need someone with a decent ADSL line to host. I got a crappy 384 so I am no help...

Who is going to volunteer?

hmm I must remember to buy beer on the way home as well....

? I think you may be lost Pitbull...

We are just looking for someone with a 1Mb line or at least a 512 to host the game. GOW is P2P.. so it will be local
 
From experience a 512kbps line will host nicely for up to 6 people. Anything above that will require a 1MB line though.

Nice. So what is the ping times local... ?
 
I have no idea what the ping times are but there is no lag...

The host should be a 1Mb ADSL line and then everyone else can be anything stable with an upstream over 128....

You should get yourself a Xbox and join sometime it's awesome.
