Im not to clued up with all this pc stuff so please bear with me...

3-how does am2 duelcore compare to core2duo?
4-Are HD monitors out yet if so where and how much?

1 - All depends on the CPU that you buy. Prices differ for different CPUs. An AMD 3800+ should set you back about R660, whilst an AMD 5200+ would set you back around R1,900.
2 - No it won't. The GeForce 6100 M9 is developed for socket 939, not socket AM2. You can see it's specs at http://www.biostar.com.tw/products/mainboard/board.php?name=GeForce%206100-M9
3 - They are considered by many to be less powerful than the Core 2 Duo CPUs. It all comes down to personal preference, really.
4 - Define HD. Which resolution would you consider HD?

1 - what beanie said
2 - I have 2 x Biostar 6100 M9 and they are socket 939, there is a GeForce 6100 AM2 and they sell for around R550 to R600
3 - Core2Duo is more overclockable to a higher range, a 5000+ (2.6GHz) AMD compares to the 6400 (2,13GHz) Intel. But your cant get Dual Core as a cheaper price on a nice motherboard like with AMD, and a low speed AMD should be able decently enough too.
4 - I'd think most monitors, CRTs and LCD (depending on their native resolution), can do HD resolutions...

Ok i think im geting this so
1-how meny Ghz is 38OO and 52OO exatly? 2-And if i got 38OO would i be ready for DX10 games?
3-is it worth changing what i have now to dualcore?
4-Do you get bluRay HD dvd writers yet? if so where can i get one and how much?

1 - The 3800+ runs at 2.0GHz and the 5200+ runs at 2.6GHz.
2 - Not really, it will demand far more processing power than the 3800+ is able to give. A 5200+ would be more able to cope.
3 - It won't do you any harm. Since I deduce that you are planning to play games, then it is absolutely worth it.
4 - I am sure they are available, however they are still quite expensive. The "LG GBW-H10N , beige , Blu-Ray (2x) , 25/17/8.5/4.7GB : BD-RE , B" is R6496.70 (inc VAT) from The Prophecy Shop (http://www.prophecy.co.za). Shop around, you ought to find one cheaper somewhere.

1.Athlon X2 3800+ = 2Ghz, Athlon X2 5200+ = 2.6Ghz
2.Yes, they will be fine for dx10 games, a C2D will be better, but its mainly the graphics card that counts, although the Nv 8800's are CPU intensive so C2D would be better.
3.What is your current setup?
4. R7k
DAMMIT - beanie beat me to it :p

1 - 3600+, 2GHz, 2x 256k L2 cache R900
3800+, 2GHz, 2x 512k L2 cache R1050
4000+, 2.1GHz, 2x 512k L2 cache
4200+, 2.2GHz, 2x 512k L2 cache
4400+, 2.3GHz, 2x 512k L2 cache
4600+, 2.4GHz, 2x 512k L2 cache
4800+, 2.5GHz, 2x 512k L2 cache
5000+, 2.6GHz, 2x 512k L2 cache R1950
5200+, 2.6GHz, 2x 1Mb L2 cache R2000
5400+, 2.8GHz, 2x 512k L2 cache
5600+, 2.8GHz, 2x 1Mb L2 cache
6000+, 3GHz, 2x 1Mb L2 cache
2 - The processor has nothing to do with DX10, it all depends on the graphics card, and only one graphics card supports it currently, the 8800 series...
3 - What do you have now?
4 - R5400
Pioneer BDR-101A , beige , Blu-Ray (2x) , 25/17/8.5/4.7GB : BD-RE , BD- R , DL dvd±R , dvd±r/rw ; 8mb buffer for BD , 2mb buffer for DVD
R5900
Same as above but in black...

Haha, R500 extra for a different colour!
It's not as if that piece of plastic costs more in black when they buy it, does it? Anything for profit, it seems.
