I don't get this idea to IM from a game console.

Just bloody finish Halo3 Microsoft instead of flogging us useless overpriced peripheral junk.
 
hahaha...i`m interrested to see how the messenger will look and how it will be used..can be cool...but can be REALLY irritating..wonder if it will also play that sound once you get a message ?
 
I don't know about ingame but on the dashboard it looks like it will float in the bottom middle of the screen....
 
Even just for standard in game texting I think it's cool. I'm keen to get one if it doesn't cost the earth. As far as IM integration goes, it does make sense, but I guess some folks text, some folks talk.
