Hi Guys

Can anybody tell me where is the best / quickest place to get the new Lord of the Rings online game here in South Africa

Is it possible to order it via the codemasters website and if so where, how much does it cost and how long will it take

I see that you can also pre-order it off Take2.co.za but that it will only get here 10 May I think it is

Does anybody else have any better suggestions?

Thanks

I have the same question.

Buddy of mine got the lifetime subscription (pre-order online) from overseas delivered last week. I used his buddy code this weekend which will expire soon.

Now I have to get the real thing. I prefer kalahari.net as I can then use my eBucks!!

:)

The game is only "officially" released in SA on 17 th of May.

All the places I generally buy my games (MMO's) from have it for release on that date. I generally find that BT Games has it the quickest on the shelves.

I see even Kalahari has it slotted for pe-order but they usually ship a day or 2 later. I guess it depends if you can wait an extra day or 2 or you just have to have it as early as possible.

I am still happy spending my gaming hours in WOW. I have read a few previews and reviews and are still undecided as to it is really worth the swap.

Generally thou the game is receiving good reviews and most are 85% plus.

Do what I do when I want to get a game upon release. Go to Toys 'R Us and buy it there. Everyone rushes to CNA and the various game shops but everyone avoids the toy shop! I got TBC and GW Nightfall a few days before official release from there.

No places seem to have it yet, has anyone managed to pick it up yet?

I just spoke to BT Games and now they are only expecting to get it on the 24th May. This is very annoying, they seem to put it out by a week each release date

Blame that on the SA suppliers and not the store. Sadly SA lacks the exact dates as the EU or US for most games.

Bull! I was @ BT Tygervalley this weekend and I could swore it was there alongside Guildwars and WOW

Dunno. I was at the one I phoned in Eastrand Mall Boksburg on Monday night and didnt see it there. I cant see how some of there stores would have and not the others

Man this is annoying. My preorder was moved from the 17th to the 24th now. Was really looking forward to playing this weekend.
What are the chances it's going to be moved again?

Well I hope it is not shifted again ... I assume the stores that do have it didn't use local suppliers and imported themselves

Well I personally havent seen it at any stores yet, which stores have you seen it at?

Budget are still saying 24th.

Don't know how accurate that is though.

Is there any particular server emerging as the one to use for SA people?

EDIT: If it really is moving to June sometime then I'm going to download the client and just buy a Key online. Wind up costing more, but I am just not good at waiting. In that event, I'll be happy to burn copies of the client for anyone who wants (Am in the JHB Area).

People in my WoW guild in the UK have tried the game. Its still a bit buggy. Some heavy memory leaks(one guy had his memory usage jump to 93% and pc locked up), chat channels stop working after a while etc..

Some say its very good, others say it horrible. I will definatly give it a whirl :)

I heard the healer class is hysterical. Plays a banjo which heals. haha.

Did anyone use this http://onlinecdkey.com/ service before or is there a similar site you would recommend? I'm thinking of just downloading it and buying the key online.

The version we get will be for Europe right?

Think so. Just trying to source the client now. Can torrent it, but @ 3.5 gigs it's a pain. Will start it tonight anyhow and see if some kind soul who already has it will copy a dvd for me.
