Ebrahim Rasool took the day off today because he had a cold.

He then called in (with a stuffy nose) to the CapeTalk Radio today to boast that he was now off to see a cricket match!

Shouldn't the Western Cape MEC be setting a good example. I mean who's really going to believe that he just happened to have spare tickets on the very day he became ill??

lol. he took a chance. i bet the anc is going to blow it out of proportion.

The ANC also want Rasool out. Something about not being black enough, I think. However, many honourable forumites will assure you that the ANC is non-racist.

Hi Tassidar,

Great to hear from you!

Rasool originally was personally picked by President Mbeki for the Premiership.
Recently there was discourse in the party about Rasool being ousted as Premier, but I think they sorted their issues out.

There is far too much back stabbing going on in Cape Town from all quarters imho.

Regards,
BTTB.

Hi BTTB,

It's been a while.:D

I hope so. I think Rasool's heart is in the right place. It is also reputed that he and Zille work well together.

However, I did find it incredibly strange that the ANC which generally goes out of its way to protect its members against accusations of fraud, was quick to put Rasool in the firing line.

That having been said, if Rasool is guilty of fraud or misconduct, he deserves suitable punishment.
