Johannesburg - ANC deputy president Jacob Zuma was on a four-day visit to Brussels to meet with top European Union (EU) officials, SABC news reported on Saturday.

Zuma met with EU trade commissioner Peter Mandelson, EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana and members of the European parliament.

Zuma said he had been invited to Brussels in his personal capacity.
Zuma has no part in SA's government so why would top EU officials want to speak to him and who paid for his trip?

Problem is he still has a political capacity as the ANC deputy president....

It does worry me, because he should NOT be allowed to talk for this country in any way shape or form following his disgrace, and public dismissal.

Doesn't the E.U have a thing for people like Zuma :o

Yes they do: "President". As much as there are many who would much prefer it not to happen, the majority will vote with their hearts and not their heads as has been the case in all the elections to date.

The EU knows this and is trying to capitalise as early as is possible.
