Well it seems another popular SA forum is already discussing this so why aren't we in on the action yet? SABC3 scooped Heroes before Mnet and DStv  Can't wait for it, even though I've already got my mits onto most of the episodes..

What makes this show good?

Can each episode be watched on its own like CSI or should I rather record a couple and watch them all in a row like 24 or Prison Break?

I'm waiting for Mondays episode like the rest of us. But its nice that SABC3 got it and to top it off on my birthday as well! Sweet! :)

You gotta watch it in order, not like CSI that's got a different story in each ep.

I watched the 1st 16episodes in a row my china and the last two the following day.

Enough said. :D

I think it'll be annoying to watch week to week (Cos I'm doing that now) It starts of pretty slow, but stick with it! Its the most addictive show I've seen in a while.:)

Yep if only SABC could secure more shows like these or maybe if our PayTV provider could drop prices and add some nice channels...:(

Heroes is the shiz though..:)

Thing is that the quality of SABC really stinks.

Compare an episode of Smallville on MNET to an episode of Smallville on SABC2 and you'll know what I'm talking about. I wish MNET would have picked up Heroes purely because of better audio and video quality.

What this says to me is if SABC can get a show of this calibre then Mnet doesn't have the market locked up. Very encouraging.

Are you watching SABC via broadcast or DSTV?

No through their normal feed.

Although I do agree that it's good for TV if the other stations pick up shows of a high calibre, SABC really need to improve the quality of their broadcast. We shouldn't have to watch it via DSTV to get a decent quality. Having said that, the quality of SABC3's broadcasts do seem to be of a better quality than 1 or 2.

This is true, its actually quite a big difference :(

Luckily there isn't much that SABC get before Mnet. They probably won't be able to afford another good show for a few years...

Well, the good thing about SABC having it, is that one doesnt have to wait for MNet to figure out where to put it between Lost and Prison Break and whatever and wait YEARS for a season to air...

Pity it is on SABC 3. SABC 1 and 2 and E-tv have Nicam Stereo audio broadcasts on the terrestrial transmitters but SABC 3 doesn't. I can't remember, is SABC 3 in stereo on DSTV?
