Richards Bay - On his own with just a rucksack and a bicycle to keep him company, a French cyclist made it safely through Europe and nine African countries, all the way to Richards Bay - where his bike was stolen.
Guillaume Miot, 27, left his home town in northern France on April 20 last year.
His epic journey of about 12 000km through Africa came to a grinding half last week when his bike was stolen just outside Richard's Bay.
Guillaume said: "I still can't believe it. All the way through Europe and the heart of darkest Africa, just to have my things stolen here in 'safe' South Africa."
