My Macbook is dead

Yeap, I think traveling did´nt agree with the MacBook very well.

I have to get to Lima to get her fixed.

Hopefully Apple gives me a new one.

I press the power button and the screen flashes and the little light goes on but nobody´s home.
:(
 
Bummer - were you having any problems before hand?

Good thing they come with a worldwide warranty so it should get sorted.

Are MacBooks any better than the average laptop?, I never got around to test one. neio I hope luck is on your side and get your Mac sorted out.

Lets just say they're different and leave it at that, ok? :o There are enough [searchforum]Mac vs PC[/searchforum] (including laptops) to keep you satiated for days on end.

Nah she's still spinning.

Will have to see what Apple US says when I send it to them for repair.

PS it sucks having to use Windows to check mail and write.

Yes, I know I'm spoilt by now.
 
Sorry if this reply sounds stupid but did you make sure that your brightness is'nt turned all the way down? It actually turns the display backlight off.....
 
Well send it via the Lama express but say is a notebook not supposed to be mobile and travel ???.

Overpriced Chinese made Apple crap ... wonder if bwana got his screen fixed yet :).

No :o I've been so enamoured but my MacBook Pro that my powerbook is just sitting there waiting to be sent up to jnb.

If there was an authorised repair guy in PE it would have been sorted by now.

Speaking of overpriced Chinese made crap hows your Lenovo? :p
 
Well she's working again, I don't know what the problem was but when I got to the shop yesterday she was working perfectly. Was a bit embarrassing but I'm glad to have my Mac back, did lotsa backups yesterday.

This Airport extreme that I just got must female too because she's being a real pain in my arse! :mad:
