Media bodies protest ‘self-censorship’ bill

attended some of the hearings - my impression was that this bill will not see the light of day for some time. the committee seemed to accept that it was in need of major panelbeating

there was also an ISPA presentation highlighting the problems the bill causes for ISPs as opposed to online content providers + difficulties with the definition of ISPs and the fact that the bill in it current form would prevent the hosting of mirror sites
