If Edgars charged R30 per transaction, they would have been out of business long ago.

The reality is that the Edgars database has to be much larger than eNatis, and is most probably being pelted with much more transactions per minute than eNatis will ever have to handle.

Come to think about it, each and every phone call is a transaction, and even Telkom does not dare to charge R30 for that transaction.

Why does eNatis have to be so expensive?

Maybe the system should be given to Edgars or even Telkom to be managed!

A million monkeys with a million PCs would churn out a better system for R400 million rand.

Amongst other things that Edgars wouldn't get away with.

Like their club membership which they tacked on automatically when you opened an account with them ... in return you got a useless waste of paper 20 page ad infested Edgars "magazine" ???.

Yes they don't do such things.

You are 100% correct there, however you could opt out and forego winning any of their competitions

I find their club membership in fact worth it, I am saving +-R200 every month on movie tickets. Club members tickets are +-R18 instead of the normal R42 and you can buy four tickets per day as a member.

Hmmmm, I suppose you're right ... the government would never put out "... a useless waste of paper 20 page ad". We rely on our, duly elected, municipal officials to do that i.e. put out a useless waste of paper ad telling us how well they're doing.

Edcon CEO took home R111 000 000 last year!!! The American Cow!!!
