Oh my word, don't make me vote ANC. The only way ever when I would maybe consider a change of heart. NAH! IF and only IF I can be sure he would change South Africa for the better and base it on business principles (IE true democracy) in mind. No corruption as currently is the case.

If this news is true maybe there is a small candlelight in the end of the tunnel. Please just shut the opening as there is a draft coming through. I think this may just be a wet dream and may just be not so true???????

O.o Helen Zille has my vote. She seems to have things sorted upstairs and seems to have the right mindset this country needs.

... sexwale as president is old news!. He was on about it last year sometime...

is sexwale any good?

is he corrupt or did he make change in this country?

Even were he to be the best thing to happen to the ANC since, well, uhm, forever (ok, madiba is awlrite :-) ), I would still not vote for them.

For the exact same reason I would never vote for the clearly dominant party, whomever them may be - ever. I will (unless we get a true democracy with a 1% or 2 difference between the parties) always vote for #2. Keeps things balanced.

Of course it is your vote to do with it as you please but voting for one party solely because they are the underdog? :(

I don't think this is a problem - every democracy needs a strong opposition - the other option - that of keeping a majority in power, with no threat of losing an election - is far worse.

I'd never be able to to say president Sex-wale without chuckling. I know thats not how u say it but c'mon its spelt that way. Think of the children don't vote for him ;) ROFL

Ok more seriously tho he is bad choice.. The ANC gov has taken strides to become more business focused in the latter years, choosing him would only intensify it i would fear. Your think the corruption is bad now, what happen when you put a business leader at the top in charge of all policies? Surely you can't be naive to believe it will all be 100% corrupt free esp with the current track record of problems in gov. where on can suspect underhanded dealings and biased decisions going in their business favor.

Sad but true. Every decmodracy needs competition, which we don't have currently.

Like Helen Zille said last night on Carte Blanche - Absolute power corrupts and therefor you always need a strong opposition to have a true democracy.

My vote goes to Zille, I was seriously impressed that she gets up at 04h00 in the morning - and then does a 18 hour day!
