Wrath of dethroned white males

Brilliant!

Similar symptoms of the dethroned are evident in the caustic, negative terms in which the debate about black economic empowerment is framed; in the ways in which black executives are vilified; and in the way in which employment equity is always viewed through the prism of its impact on the longevity and well-being of the (dethroned) white male.

Now why would you be so stupid to post such story here? Seeing that it ain't newsworthy and very old you were clearly looking for trouble. You know that this will only lead to the usual culprits bashing blacks and then the blacks hitting back at the whites for being racist. People will get banned and the thread locked. No good will come of this thread.

Have not read the article yet. Yes, we are angry, but dethroned? We are still the leaders in the industries, the most productive, competitive and so forth. Try dethrone us on those grounds also. :)

Oh I get it! If you are against anything the ANC does you are being a baboon! The "dethroned" human is a much cleverer creature I reckon - able to hold on to and grow wealth in spite of the best efforts of the real baboons.

No you're not a baboon. He was merely using baboons to draw parrallels as these are familiar creatures to all south africans.

Evidently that’s what he wants to achieve.

Facts

baboons are familiar to most South Africans; they are among our closest primate relatives genetically and a totem for some Africans. African people have been referred to as bobbejaan and at times shot and killed

While Ubuntu will continue to influence our drive for reconciliation, let there be no doubt that sooner or later African dominance and the imitation of most that is African shall permeate all spheres of South African society

A wet dream

It should therefore become common sense that the white male soon learns to speak, write and spell in an African language; that he, like Johnny Clegg, learns to dance and sing like Ladysmith Black Mambazo. He should learn kwaito, dance like Lebo, dress like Madiba, enjoy eating “smiley and walkies” and attend ‘“lekgotla” and socialise at our taverns.

Meaning of Ubuntu - Creating new Abantus?
From this it seems Ubuntu mean to turn the white South African male in a Johny Clegg style "black" African adopting their culture and heritage as their own? What are they going to do about the skin?

It was written in the mail & guardian. I don't we should try and supress it as it's already been placed in the publics eye.

Actually this Ubuntu thing is quite easy to understand. It means that what belongs to one belongs to everyone. To get more specific, what is yours is mine. To be even more specific, that new cellphone of yours is now mine, so hand it over before I put a bullet in you.

It plays a major role in shaping our country.

LOL, no THAT is funny!

Now that explains everything. No wonder the crime is booming more than business. Then again it is' an essential part of the SA financial system!

So do you have anything to say about this article? Let's rather debate that. Doesn't it sum up the behaviour displayed by South africa's white males accurately?

Atleast now we can begin to work towards something. A reason exists for your unhappiness.

I think the fact that you've used a generalisation like that indicates that you are a racist.

You just carry on like this, soon only 20% to 30% of the skills necessary for a functional industrial economy (one that can clothe, feed, house and provide essential services like electricty, running water, telecoms infrastrucure and medicine) will remain.

I think it was a poor article, and if I remember correctly it fermented weeks of angry debate in the m&g.

A critical factor of human development and leadership is “our primate heritage” as defined in the book Leading Minds: An Anatomy of Leadership, by Howard Gardner, Harvard University’s distinguished psychologist and professor of education.
Okay, I'm with you so far, professor.
In the primate family, to which humankind belongs, there are certain heritage features which display “clear dominance relationships among members, and the proclivity to imitate”, hence such terms as “aping and monkey business”.
Whoa, you think that any valid points can be made by comparing a group of people to primates...?
