was planning on buying one of these games to play locally online, just wondering which one would be better to play locally and more players etc..?
just need to know where and how i would play these games locally aswell?
really not clued up on online gaming! :confused:

Yeah I heard 2142 is quite buggy but I have never seen it.

BF2 still rocks and you should be able to buy it for less now? hopefully.

Anyway the one problem you will have is downloading the latest patch which is what? well over 500meg I think. And you have to download it and install before you can join any server...same goes for any game these days.

To join you must setup a BF2 account in the game (pretty simple) and then after it logs on to account server...find the SA servers by typing -= sgs and enter to search. That will bring all the saix servers on your list. :)

looking forward to kicking y......erm I mean seeing you online :p
 
best thing to do when u have one of the games

go download xfire then go games.saix.net put in all the bf 2 or 2142 servers and load then onto into xfire and then see which are good before you join the server
 
yeah, im def going for BF2, not to keen on the far fetched stuff aswell
found a deal for R100 from "http://www.shopasave.co.za/index.php?Type_Code=ProductInfo&Itemcode=P00653" whcih seams great
I dont have to get the BF2 expansion do I?
and lastly is this patch available from games.saix.net?

No you don't need the expansion, there is a separate server for that & it is only really full on a wednesday, it is a cool expansion though.

Yeah, rather get urself BF2. I wasted 413 hours of my life (17.5 days) on BF2142 and finally realised that BF2 was the better game.. luckily I came to my senses and play it reguarly now..BF2142 is just a memory...
 
I agree.

Releasing it just split the gamers for each server, it could rather have been a addon. I mean they made new textures and they expect you to buy the same game again?
