The ATi is going for like R4100...with 512MB and a 512 bit bus...What is the 8800 going for? How big is the bus? 320-bit?
320 bit and price around R5000

I'd say the HD 2900 XT.
When the drivers are optimised (or at least stable
) it should outperform the 8800GTS just by pure numbers, including price.

Doomie, check these guys out http://www.overclockers.co.uk/ they are about 1.5 hours out of London by train in Stoke.

I was there about 3 weeks ago....ask a cabby to take you there from the station as it is tricky to find.

Yep, there's a pic on the right of that page saying "AMD + ATI = the new AMD"
AMD uses the ATI name, but major reviewers officially refer to these as "AMD HD 2900XT's"

They haven't done away with the ATI branding, it will still say ATI on the card and on the box.
Most people still call them ATI cards anyway.. the popular acronym is DAAMIT
