normally they get old stuff or the scraps from other broadcasters
i must i have enjoyed it so far , its awesome compared to prison break and lost

any views ? :)

Good to see that there are still shows that mnet hasnt locked up. Shows that there is hope for any new provider entering the market. :)

Yeah it's about time the general population got a decent show that's not like 5 years old. Just hope that the broadcast quality isn't the usual SABC quality though

I have to say when I saw the ad when Amazing Race was playing I almost fell over backwards. Not only have they got it, but when it is fresh. This would be prime time for Multichoice to show it. As evidenced by M-Net starting the latest season of 24.

and it starts today 8:30?
champion's league vs heroes
nahhh. gotta see pool get smashed! :D

Can't believe Mnet let this one go... everyone is watching heroes at the moment. Silly people.

you guys sure its not a series about fire fighters in new york or some other rubish?

It's not really that uncommon for SABC3 to grab good shows. Just off the top of my head:

Oz
Sex in the City
The Practice
Will & Grace
Everybody Loves Raymond

Agreed!! I think now is the time to start buying the rights to TV shows for south africa to resell to local mofo's. Imagine you had bought the rights to heroes for SA syndication. ANother good one to buy would be ugly betty, thats somehting that will definately air on Mnet, eventually!

what the hell is heroes ...?

i don't watch that much tv ... only csi.

It's about these ordinary people who suddenly develop super-powers. Of course there's an evil government agent trying to find them and probably do evil probing things to them. The story unfolds as they start finding out about each other. It's more interesting than Lost, 4400+, 24 and CSI combined. But perhaps you need to have grown up reading comics too.
;)

Ok so basically its much more likely that SABC got the hand me downs from Mnet

No - mnet either wasnt interested or didnt bid high enough. Either way they dropped the ball.

IIRC it's not the first time - JAG springs to mind as well as other shows like NCIS, Bones and Monk. Mnet ended up showing JAG hand-me-downs on the series channel. :)
