It would be sad for your tax ,oney that went to build the un-used stadium.

Nobody should really want the world cup moved from SA at this point.

Fifa won't be able to pull it from SA, they owe Africa big time for all the talented players the EU clubs have swipped :D
 
Soccer is not really my game (now cricket...there is a game, well not the way we play it), but all I know is, with the worldcup, a lot of people will take days off, that usually means the boss will be at a soccer game...

So WOOHOO!!!! bring on soccer worldcup 2010!!

Are you serious?

Although the ANC sometimes think they own the World Cup 2010, it actually is part of all South Africa and instead of bickering, moaning and groaning and other ANTI behaviour, we should all work together to ensure that it is a resounding success.

Every other political agenda also tries to put the World Cup 2010 in a bad light to further their own ambitions.

If we channel our effort into making it succeed and cancel all the negative energy, it will be the best World Cup ever, although it may not necessarily the most perfect.

And the people of South Africa will gain afterwards due to better infrastructure and a better outlook on South Africa from the rest of the world.
 
Readin some of the comments on the petition about crime etc, has everybody forgotten how dangerous a bunch of so called first country soccer supporters can be. How they have killed and ruined areas because their team lost. Some of them will make a protest march in South Africa look like a peace rally. And how the English police for instance are trying to keep the criminal element out of soccer supporter clubs.
 
if the ANC carries on with its policies, it will lose many of its taxpayers.

What do you think will happen if Zuma comes into power and introduces strange and wierd policies? If zuma does not come into power, what do you think the mob of Zuma fanbois are going to do? There is a chance due to political instability that we lose the right to host the world cup.

What tourist will want to come visit SA if the crime rate remains as high as it is? So many murders, rapes, armed robberies dont make it into the news.

I hope we dont lose the world cup, but lets be realistic
 
A petition like that is a waste of my time. I am in support of my country!!!
 
Whether we host the WC or not... SA is going down

look at all the problems we face, power failures, NON-service delivery, skill shortage...

when the **** really hits the fan, all the previoulsy advantaged ppl will move on to greener pasteurs and the previously disadvantage ppl will stay behind to face their gavamant
