I wonder, if I want to invest R700 000 in a small ad (TV, newspaper or Radio) informing the public of iBursts' bad services, what would the consequences be thereof?

You would be classed as an idiot for the waste of money ;)

You would also most probably be hit with a defamation law suit?
The best idea would be to just stop using them., You have been complaining for months about them

You would be R700 000 poorer.

Use some of your R700000 to buy 50 iBurst modems and pool the connections into 1 big pipe. That way you'll get 1MB/s total throughput as advertised and you'll have nothing to complain about.

You'll also have R600000 change.

...or pay neotel to deliver a fat fiber to your house... :D

satellite is not a good idea - if it's cloudy or rainy, then your signal is down. :(

If you are referring to my post, no not at all; just had enough of promises that does not materialise and paying through the nose for internet access and not being able to use it.

Thought as much about the civil suit, but it will be worth every sent spent when I take out my laptop and connect to iBurst to show my case to the bench of judges in the High court - as all my evidence will have been prepared on my server...

I would SO support you. Are you looking for a testimonial to put in your ad? You seriously can't be sued for defamation if you're quoting someone else, can you?

I don't know if they will care about 1 person getting a bad service, or 1 tower at most.

Is it not a better idea to get a whole lot of people together to substantiate your claims somehow? Eg: On this forum.. some kind of petetion, but more serious.

The ASA etc do respond to 1 person complaints, but then they have to do their own research for a few months...
