Commercials IN the SABC3 News?

Did anyone watch the English news just now on SABC3 at about +-19:19? Because I just want to make sure that I saw, what I saw. They were switching to the ‘Sports News’.. You know the Green screen thingy showing ‘Sports’. Then a Powerade commercial played, with the Sabc3 news logo thing at the left. Then they went on with the Sports news. Is it a new thing to show commercials IN the news? And I’m sure this was not a normal ‘commercial break’. Unless I’m becoming crazy. :confused:
 
the sports part of the news is sponsored by Powerade, same way the weather is/was sponsored by yellow pages, or SAA, or whoever...
 
Yeah. It's like the iBurst thing during the weather, although not quite as in your face. Effectively the sports news is being brought to you by Powerade.
 
Ok.
My bad then. Just the first time I had seen it like this then (I'm not a regular sports news watcher).

ETV has had a whisky sponsor their (sports) player of the week for ages now.
 
The news usually also starts off with a "sponsored by" commercial when the clock is ticking. I distinctly remember chevrolet at one stage [it went on for a while]...but the sponsor change often.
