That isn't as bad as those idiots who put baby seats on the back of bicycles.
 
Because those things are not as balanced as people imagine. The whole first run had to be recalled because they'd stop without warning when the battery ran too low. Users were suing because they'd suddenly fall over.

I can't imagine why someone would be too lazy to walk with the child.

Agh I used to tie my baby sister onto the skateboard and tow her with my bike, that pic would have given you guys a heart attack im sure!

What about the lazy kid - being pushed around by the poor over worked mother! :p

How many times have you fallen of a seqway? Seems to me that if those problems were on models that were recalled its rather a moot point anyway isnt it? :)

And would you folks say that the mother seems to be in full-control of the pram whilst crossing 4 lanes of traffic?

Had the mother been in a motorised wheelchair, what would the opinion have been?
 
The problem is control. Sedgeways work on balance and shifting your weight, which, if she's leaning on that pram won't be interpreted correctly. more importantly, what if there's an emergency, she's crossing a road, what if a speeding car suddenly came by? She can't react.

I short, she's an idiot.

A neighbour of mine has a Sedgeway. Those things look incredibly stupid, and while punted as a revolution in personal transportation when first released, are in fact very impractical and have been a bit of a flop really. Ah, you can use them for Steadicam shoots, the only good use I could imagine.
