Mugabe prepares to seize foreign owned shares

Don't people get it yet? Do not give anything to Zim, they don't want or need it.

On Sunday night, a senior source at one British company with a presence in Zimbabwe said any such move would "confirm Mugabe as operating what is, to all intents and purposes, a terrorist regime".

I am really hoping in vain that the US will invade and destroy the terrorist. But maybe Mugabe is just looking for attention and soon all Zim news will be ignored and the people in Zim left for dead. Also if any other nation try and attack Zim they will be condemned as racists so Africa just need to sort out its own problems.

I don't understand it when people advocate the military intervention of one country to a sovereign nation. Basically the people of Zimbabwe need to have the balls to change things themselves.

As for the proposed legislation, there goes what is left of the Zim economy.

It's kind of hard to change things when you are required to vote on issues by a show of hands...:D

Military action should always be used as a last resort in my opinion and this seems like it for Zim. A little while ago there was strikes in the country to condemn another term for Mugabe and the Zim people had the guts to oppose it but most of them were almost beaten to death.

Protest action by a "few thousand protestors" won't do it. As far as I know ZANU-PF's power base lies in the rural areas, so when they decide enough is enough, then we will see something. As for Mugabe retiring, do you think the rest of the party does not share his ideas?

Go Ahead Mad Bob

I say he should get on and do it, because South Africa has vested interests in those Mines as well.
Watch the SA Government come under pressure from Local Investors, Shareholders etc. :p

Yea that would be really nice, however if it happened I bet SA will be there to help Zimbabwe, maybe offer them our hand at fighting off the US.

Anybody read the Spectator magazine recently? There is a brilliant article about Zim in there...

The truth is, aid is the worst thing to hand to Africa!

What we need is for foreign countries to stop propping zim up. Cut off all aid. Let it collapse and when the people have had enough there will perhaps be change.

Sure it doesn't sound humanitarian and it will cause a lot of short term issues for SA but it is the only way to turn things around.

lol with no foreign investment, here comes 6-digit inflation for them. Does this dude seriously think he's doing his country any favours? Even he will spiral into poverty.

I would guess he has millions in dollars hidden away somewhere for a rainy day:D

Yeah BoB is still very popular with the "freedom fighter" hierarchy. Maybe BoB should invite some "Jihads" to set up camp in Zim. That would really p1ss of the west off but alas I don't think even BoB is that crazy.

Good read.

Zimbabwe and now SA's slide into decay is morbidly fascinating to observe.

For those who think that SA will not "fast track" land reform like mugabe has done are in for a rude awakening. I think that it will pick up pace after the 2010 WC.

I also think that the "Winds of Change" will blow especially hard through SA in the decades ahead. If you are able to leave you may want to do it sooner than later.

K now don't get ahead of yourself, this thread isn't about your hatred of SA ;)
