xbox and hd cd rom drive

I have read somewhere on this forum that the south african xbox's have a normal dvd drive in them? But if that is the case how can we play games that are shipped in here. Surely most of those games are relying on the rich capacity of HD-DVD vs DVD?

MS will never make games in HD-DVD format. It had been announced a while back. The X360 ships with a regular 12x ( or 16x if I am mistaken ) DVD drive.

As far as I know all XBox's have a normal DVD drive in them. You can buy the HD DVD as an extra.
