Hi

i would like to purchase a sli mb like this model. but, the question what I wanted to ask is.. ... say you decide to buy 2 sli ready nvidia 8800gtx series cards, how the heck will both of them fit on the board cause they take up like 2and a half pci slots?

and i checked on the board also.. unlsess i checked wrong the space between the pci slot isn't that faraway? i dunno

any feedback would be apreciated !!!

Thanks!

Go for ASUS SLI motherboard, I have the SLI deluxe one, and there is more than enough space in there. I have had numerous board over the years, and ASUS is the best quality by far

I have precisely the same board, and am in precisely the same predicament, and all the research i have done so far points towrds only being able to have one card on this board, due to the closenest of the slots.
So far the one board that is recommended is the NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI LT Motherboard.

If you compare the picture of the above board to that of the K8 NXP, you can see that the slots on the K8 are closer.

Not only that , but your power supply may need to be changed, and the case if the case cant handle the newer PSU.

imagine 2 8800gtx's in your pc

you better have watercooling man

my 8800 320 meg runs super hot amd makes my whole box hot, so make sure you get cooling via water and not air

in the summer months omw my pc ran hot
