Hi everyone:)

My third pair of cheap headphones (incl mic) is damaged. The spongy covering keeps getting torn. Where can I get ones with leather covers? - it must be a pair of headphones with a mic. I'm looking for something under R200.

Thanks:)

Im also in the market for one, I created a thread about it yesterday but I guess the forum is a bit slower on the weekends. Only difference with me is that Im looking for Bluetooth headphones. sky.akash I totally relate with the cheap foamy stuff tearing, need to shell out a few hundred bucks on a decent leather covered set. ;)

Cheap headphones all suck in my opinion, bought the leather type (cheap leather type) and lo- and behold the freaking leather came loose at the edges where it attaches to the headphone itself, so basically it's not torn but the ear cover thingy keeps falling off, REALLY annoying!

I'm looking for the exact same thing, maybe a little cheaper, any good suggestions?

I'll go look around for us in the meantime.. :)

This doesn't look too bad : http://www.prophecy.co.za/creative-labs-hs350-headphones-p-1456.html

That R90 set doesn't look too bad.

Thanks :D

Yeah R90 looks ok, but what covers are on the earpieces?:)

Edit: The one for R110 looks like real heavy-duty stuff. I think I'll go with that one:)

The Creative HS-350, HS-390, HS-400 and HS-600 are all available from Rectron at R100, R120, R180 and R220 excl. VAT. All of them look decent...

Looks cool except, the constant vibrating on my head could get annoying after a while :)

Must say I like those creative lab ones from prophecy (Creative Labs HS-350 Headphones), very good price and don't look too bad. Think I should get myself a pair :D

I dont use my ps2 anymore but the USB headphones that came with socom still get heavy use. You can often pick them up for a couple hundred rand.

I still have my headphones and mic that came with BF2. It looks cheap but has lasted and also not bad quality :)

I love my logitech sterio dialogs. It has a mic and I havent been able to break mine yet and they are comfortable to wear for hours on end. Should cost about R120...

What about wireless versions?

Any of you actually had a pair of wireless (bluetooth) headphone, if so, which ones have nice bass?

I had a Saraha headset I brought for R60 once, it was huge and the sound wasnt too bad...but that lasted for just under 2years..

I got a sony ericsson bluetooth headset...the bass sux!
Think if they had good bass, they would last like 1 hour max :p

Thanks :D

Ja, you're right actually I might go for those too. Otherwise the Creatives look good, but I really don't need to spend too much money.

The R110 ones have a 255cm cable, which sounds pretty long to me, how long is the normal cable on headphones?

Looks like most of them are aimed at Voip users and online gamers...:( Which ones are recommended for music only?

Like someone said, Sennheisers are good quality, not to be wasted on gamers and VOIP. All of the more expensive Creative/Logitech/whatever headphones will be okay for music, they sound great for the price compared to speakers.

Those Aopens are only R180 at BuyComputers, and they don't sound too bad. Erm, as in the the review of them.

I'm looking for headphones mostly for gaming with the mic and teamspeak, I've got my speakers for music.
