Hi I am new to this I might be obtaining a old M-NET Decoder from my aunt problem is I stay in New Zealand and that is way out is it possible to get a feed from the signal or get it in a line of sight with A long aerial or A internet feed or send it out via satellite and convert it back to analogue at the end or
anything please I am desperate

Thanks

I don't think the footprint of the satellite coverage extends to your area.

Pas 7 satelite only extends over half of Africa as far as I know.

Strange though, when I was in Phuket they had super sport channels in the rooms.

Why don't you call Multichoice for info?

The c band signal goes as far as western Australia (Perth). But that will be the african version of M-Net.

The Mnet decoder is useless in NZ - it uses weak radio signals that just wont reach even 100 miles out.

I've heard of people in Oz picking up regular DSTV (Ku band). Oz also used Irdeto for their sat system. You wont get support from Multichoice though, so don't tell them where you are.

not sure but i saw a while ago on a Aussie forum people were picking up dstv with 10m c-band dishes in perth....

think it is highly unlikely with normal ku band dishes. The KU band spots are quite focused. they might be using their dstv decoders to pick up Austar (they also use irdeto)

:D:D:D

Sorry, I can't help it but I'm LMAO at this...

You do know the earth is round?

j/k

:p

DOOD - the earth is flat!!! Didnt you know? Dont worry a super long aerial might do the trick....really really long! :P

Check out Slingbox (www.slingmedia.com). Not exactly what you are looking for, but will give you a live feed.

You need to find someone in SA with a good broadband connection.

I've looked and you need somthing that goes at the back of your TV probaly about R5000 if I remember correctly so some of you say that the signal goes to perth but it won't get to NZ and don't you need a DSTV decoder I am taking about one of those delta decoder can I get it via sattelite as I Frecuently make calls to my family members in SA and it goes into space via sattelite right

I have to ask:

"Why the heck would you want DSTV in NZ?" I don't even want it here in SA.

I am talking about M-NET and DSTV if I could I would have it as there are more channel selections over there I know I lived there LOL

if that's not possible could i use it to pick up SKY UHF in NZ it would save me $79 on A UHF Decoder :) thats if it is the right system

I've heard of people picking up DSTV in Hong Kong so it seems you can pick up the signal from quite a few different areas.
