Motorists should not put "pressure on the pumps"

This message is equivalent to "Don't fill up today, wait until midnight then fill up when new prices take effect"
Bull...

does anyone know how much of the fuel price is tax/road tax/accident fund etc? I mean what is the actual cost of the fuel less all the other charges? surely they could just reduce the other charges slightly and this would bring the price back down? arent there more people driving cars now? so surely they should be able to lower these other chargers?
