Got the game yesterday and had a few online matches on inter servers with lag not being much of an issue. Just want to know if there is anybody else in SA who will get the game to organise some local matches?

Well, if you are going to be on LIVE with the month trial thats included with the game i wouldnt mind. I have a X360 Live sub so I dont need to worry about online trials.

My gamertag is ruslan74 should you be online sometime over the weekend or next week.

LAN wise yes, online some servers are LIVE GOLD subscriber only. I guess it depends on who hosts the servers thus the Silver & Gold discrepancies when playing online.

is this game like bf 2, where you can play like 20 vs 20?

do you think sgs will host a server?

how much is it? halo 3 is coming soon is it worth purchasing now?

Halo 2 is ONLY Vista compatible and most of its online portions require you to have a LIVE account. The game does come with a free month trial voucher and is playable in LANs of between non-LIVE members online.

I think the limit for online gameplay is 16 players although I might be mistaken.

It would be nice if SGS would host a server though, but that will only happen if there is demand amongst the SA players.

trust me we can get it on sgs no problems

but i can tell you that those players will not pay a monthly subscription to microsoft for the game

so basically you have to pay for it every month

what a waste will download the pirate version and see what it looks like

If SGS hosts a non-Gold Live server then you dont have to pay a monthly fee. For regular X360 players who are already part of the XBL Gold accounts they dont have to pay a penny extra.

Windows games live not available in your region

Hi guys
I bought the game a couple of days ago, but when ever I try to join live it says

“Windows games live not available in your region”
Have anyone else encounter this, out know of a solution?

Thanks

This happens if you registered on LIVE as South Africa as your home base. Re-register with a different nick if you can and make it all UK based.

Until MS makes LIVE official in SA the roundabout is to use UK addresses.
