I'm thinking of getting DSTV Compact, but I'd like M-NET as well (yeah, I know it sucks, but it's the best we have).

I believe it's possible to add m-net to the compact package for an extra fee - anyone know how much it costs? Multichoice don't seem to answer their email.

Never heard of that, Mnet on its own is more expensive than compact AFAIK

Yup, Mnet's well over R200, Compact is only R199. I know of people who've added it to Compact, so it is possible, but can't get back to them to find out how much it cost. Was hoping someone here had done it :-)

Maybe they simply got the full package.
Let me know if you find out otherwise though, I'd like to do that as well :D .

If you only want the soapies, then there was rumour that compact would have the soaps too (just the hour)

I asked Multichoice, you can add MNET but it is the full price of MNET no discount. So if you to add the two (Compact + MNET) you can get full DSTV for the same Price.

next to Telecoms and Eishkom.

Just hope eishkom is not providing the power for the heat.

A good injection of healthy competition is needed ... and it is on the way (although Telkom is one of them). DSTV is a dinosaur that needs a jolt to get life back into it. Their current attitude of take-it-or-leave-it will have to change.

Interesting how they offer the compact product specifically excluding the rugby. It is discriminative - working against lower income rugby supporters (a growing number).

And I see that as a plus point.
