Are Political Parties in Bed with the Drug Companies?

I am afraid that even if the majority of us are convinced that the ARV drugs are poisonous, the politicians are not going to take much note of us. None of the political parties here in South Africa has really expressed their disagreement with the pack of lies around HIV/Aids.

The Democratic Alliance even went as far as publishing a list of individuals on their website that they regarded as people with dangerous views that should be suppressed:

“The DA's objective in compiling this list is to make it clear why these individuals are so dangerous, and raise public awareness about who they are and what they stand for. These individuals hide behind the excuse of promoting scientific debate in order to promote views that are false and dangerous. South Africa cannot let this continue any longer.”

This note is available online at:

http://www.da.org.za/da/Site/Eng/campaigns/aidsdissidents.asp

I would have thought that if a group of people tries to promote views that are false and dangerous, political parties would be eager to initiate a debate with them so that they can be exposed for what they are. But in the case of HIV/Aids I am getting the impression that all the political parties want to suppress the debate. Why are political parties behaving in this manner? All of the politicians in the political parties here in SA cannot really be as stupid as what they pretend to be. Or are they too scared to open their mouths around this issue?

Out of interest JB do you believe 9/11 was an inside job?

How could this be true, our own health minister proclaims that certain garden ingredients help with HIV. Let's not forget that a shower helps too?

The bosses seems to benefit most of the time

I don't know, but what I do know is that the most gruesome things can happen to us ordinary people and then the bosses still seems to find a way to ensure that they can benefit financially out of it.

My understanding is that there was certain hikes in trading to be observed on the stock exchanges immediately before and after 9/11.

Our Minister of Health is a lovely person

How could this be true, our own health minister proclaims that certain garden ingredients help with HIV. Let's not forget that a shower helps too?

But I have never really heard our health minister challenging the lies around the existense of HIV.

I never heard our health minister protesting the fact that the bosses are allowed to use invalid HIV tests to trick ususpecting people into believing that they are suffering from an elusive virus that will in time to come undermine their health and cause them to suffer from AIDS.

Our health minister only protests once the bosses and their running dogs are trying to trick those people who now believe that they are suffering from this imaginary HIV into taking highly toxic "ARV drugs" untill the day that they die.

There is nothing wrong with our minister recommending to people that they should be eating lots of fresh vegetables and fruit to maintain their good health. A comitted health minister should do that all the time.

And you are right a warm shower helps to make our energies flow much better. I usually feel excellent after my morning shower.

Johan, please see my point in post #3. ALL business has politicians in it. The problem is bigger than a couple of Drug companies that are trying to mess over the ignorant.

All companies have lobby groups to punt their products (tobacco, booze, firearms, etc), and as you have noticed, not all those products are safe (Montana *cough*). However I believe your energy is misdirected and your perceptions on this issue a little limited.

You could have a lot more scope if you looked at the whole problem. I am willing to accept big business is trying to destroy all local and small competition using tactics that are disgusting, and I accept they sometimes punt dodgy products, but on the whole their products are fine.

I think you have misinterpreted the large drug companies attempts to control the market as an attempt by them to push useless products onto the market.

I for one am one of those people who need one of their drugs. It really really works for me and if you tell me to look at a vitamin I'm going to kick your ass. I know what is broken in me, and I know how this fixes me (down to the molecular level).

You are still very vague about what you think is "broken" in you. Why don't you tell us exactly what is wrong with you? Please tell us also what medication you are using for the problem? Then we can have a transparent and open discussion about it.

maybe we can all guess??? better yet, hold a poll!!!

the "in bed with" in the thread title is a bit of a give-away and only serves to weaken any argument you make - of course there is the give and take which to an extent characterises western democracy as capitalist / individualist

as mr mystery illness has pointed out...this is no way equates to a conspiracy to put out harmful / non-therapeutic products or one to deny assistance to the populace
