Sorry, but I don't buy that - there is more to it than paying properly... the economy and everything else affects standards of living.
Having said that, yes, I believe the Govt. is and has been doing workers in for some time but I don't think hijacking the ambulance dept is helpful to anyone.
Where do you draw the line with lawlessness - what if you feel a military coup was necessary to get the point across?
Once again SA show their affinity for consumption and lack of productivity. There is more the Gvt should be doing - GDP needs to go up for starters and we need to be more productive. We need to generate more jobs.
The argument the SAG made was that you can't pay public servants more than 20% of GDP...
That says to me that our GDP is the issue here...
My daugters creche is now having to close because of threats from strikers. This whole strike is getting crazy. I was in total support of the strikers until they started threatening other people.
Look around on this forum for how that 20% was arrived at.
Will be a real eye opener. And you may just cry....
