Who believes a good ass whipping would suit this bully?

Show me a bully and I'll show you a beaten up one.... Yeah I don't have much sympathy for bullies since I had tons of bullies at the school I went to (And the head principal was one as well) he didn't do quat to help us until I left that school(Hope it closes down)

In my experience bullies only respond to an extreme retaliation by their victim. Scares them silly if done right.

You need friends in "high places" at school ;)

:D

I think spanking is not the answer, rather try trailing him then locking him up(juvenile or such). we should treat kids as we treat adults; I do think that his parents are most likely responsible for his behavior, they may have spanked him and now he thinks that violence(like at his home and in the wild), means power and status(is cool).

And some people are just ****tards cause they get away with it...

Yeah, they learn that there are no consequences. Tying action to consequence is neccessary. "If you do bad things then bad things will happen to you". Beats me how anyone can argue that it's wrong.

I got bullied as a kid by a particular shmuck, a lot. One day I snapped: he was kicking me in the shins over and over and I lost it, I stabbed him in the arm with my pen, pitty it was a yellow plastic Bic pen and not my Parker. :) I think I got the pen 1 or 2 centimeters deep in his arm.

Fortunately the teacher saw him irritating me and he got into trouble, not me :D

My cousins were at John Orr with a guy who was bullied most of his life and one day he snapped and hit back...
The guy died in hospital with a clot on the brain... of course the papers painted another picture.

One solution indeed. The thing is some bullies are beyond repair and should be sent to reform school of some kind. Perhaps a military style school...

Bullies need some serious help. The thing is that they are probably being abused, or have been abused. In alot of cases, its entirely not their fault. it is a power thing for them, to take advantage over either younger or weaker kids. Believe me, its easy to pick out the quite ones..

True, but sometimes that help comes in a form of "wake him up". Love comes in different forms - you need to understand what will ruk a person reg. A combination of compassion and discipline often shows a person you care more than just discipline and compassion alone isn't always enough if he/she is settled into their own little world with their "friends" filling that attention gap.

I agree that discipline is important, but what happens if that kid is physically or sexually abused by their parents, by the same people that suppose to discipline them?

damn, saw the subject of this thread and thought it was about Bheki Cele :)

Not all kids take after their parents, but the well being of the kid is the issue, not the parents. Whatever it takes to sort the kid out is the issue... kids need to realize from young that they live in the real world and there are consequences of being a criminal. If there are real issues at home, then it should come out to some extent in a psych chat with a trained councellor...
