PMCIA modem but no PMCIA slot

Hi

I recently boughtl myself a new laptop, unfotunately these days laptops dont come out with PMCIA slots any more ;( so what do i do now ? other than buyin myself a usb modem or something ??

i see there are PMCIA to USB converters available.. but apparently these things do not work with the iburst modem ;( but not sure

can any1 suggest anythin or let me know which converter does infact work ?
