I haven't seen any XBox 360 games to rent in video shops yet. Everything is still Playstation 2. Has anyone seen rentable Xbox 360 games available in any of their local video shops? There are quite a few games I want to rent - just to nail gamerscore :)

Is this not due to the Ster Kinekor and Sony hell-marriage?

There are 1 or 2 around, somewhere in Roodepoort I think.

Why not just trade your games instead though?

Quite possibly.

In Cape Town there are dedicated game trading stores that also do rental "tradestation", I don't see any listed for Durbs I'm afraid. As far as Mr Video or Vee's carrying them, I know the one has VERY close ties to SK so I doubt it, but look around for independant video stores in more affluent area's, Like Westville, Umhlanga or Morningside/Musgrave.

BTGames has also had rentals under discussion for a while, but haven't launched yet. It was something like R200 upfront, then R120 per month per game, swap anytime. Chat to the guys in the Pav about it.

A good deal.
Although "rental" here is more like a guaranteed buy-back?

That'd probably make a lot more sense business wise.

dude i never rent games from video shops, i feel it ruins the splendor of the whole game when you finally purchase it, theres nothing like that feeling of anticipation!:D

The problem is, there are a stack of games I want to play, but not buy. They don't have a long shelf life, so I don't want to purchase them.

Games I own, but shouldn't have brought and rented instead: Kameo: Elements of Power and Need for Speed: Carbon (both have very low replay value)
