ok just got this systems parts in thursday..i installed everything yesterday was online with it updating drivers and stuff hadnt closed up the back yet cuz i still had to tie up the cords out of the mobos way well one of the wires fell and stopped the heatsinks fan and since then i cant get my monitor to come on past the orange light..the mobo still has power cuz its powering all the fans and the fan on my video card still comes on..i have tried another power supply and still nothing.. have reseated the card and the memory any help on this or is my mobo fried or something..and yes i have tried another monitor...using a 8800 gts 320mb on a 5400 amd duelcore

hmmm how long did the fan stop working for?
i doubt the amd got friend, most mobo's have a kuk off point at a certain temp
but depending on the mobo make the cpu might be fried

Yeah it seems that your CPU is might be the cause of the problem.
not long less then a second and a buddy just told me that the coated crap that comes default on a cpu heat sink is crap and he thinks its my cpu as well..good thing i got it through new egg i guess..but i have no way of testing to be sure that that is it.so you think the processor is the reason its not working?
