Hi,

Just installed a new PC with XFX 650i Ultra mobo. Installed WinXP MCE and when i installed the Nforce chipset drivers (unfortunately i said Yes to Nvidia Network Manager) I couldnt see my LAN connection in the taskbar, so i right clicked My Network Places and Network Connections is empty? How is that possible??? I checked the Nvidia Control Panel and clicked on Networking, it picks up the MAC, IP & LAN connection speed (1GB) but how can i configure the IP if i cant even access the adapter???

I tried uninstalling NAM but still nothing......

Network Setup Wizard says that no NIC is installed, yet Device Manager AND NVidia control panel shows active NIC....

Does NAM take over Network Connections??

Anyone else have this problem?

I think so, just uninstall NAM and try it then ;)

Okay, didn't see that.

Open your Device Manager> right click on My Computer, select properties, click hardware>device manager.

Look for the NIC or look for hardware that isn't installed, it should be something like multimedia device or controller or something, manually install the driver ;)

tried that.

eventually i formatted, reinstalled xp mce and moved the NAM folder out, installed then and it worked....

fuq.

Strange, I have the NAM installed with no problems with my adapter ever since I got my motherboard?
