Remember the off handedly mentioned IPTV coming to the 360? The one telkom's rolling out at the beginning of next year? The one they've tested with the 360?

Well MS just blew the lid off it. Past news says it's shipping in the "fall 07 update"

Interesting... I wonder if Telkom will make special provisions on your cap if you take this service otherwise you'll be limited to one HD movie a month.

I know in other countries you get multiple PVCs (permanent virtual circuits) on ADSL so your one pvc will probably internet and the other one will be IPtv so you won't use your cap for tv
 
Microsoft IPTV efforts has always been a failure up till now and has never worked reliably outside their labs ... changing the name won't help much..
 
You talking about things like Web TV?

That's why they're now in partnership with the Telco's themselves, they need to provide services specifically shaped to serve IPTV QoS. Up till now the Telco's have just seen it as traffic, with them now taking it seriously as one of their own services we should see properly rolled out infrastructure.

Telkoms already committed to rolling out ADSL2+ to support Telkom Media.

I presume you are once again smoking the giggly twig before posting Tibby?

Microsoft is now the number one digital distributor to lounges in America...

Granted that is not streaming but I think they are better placed than anyone at the moment...
