SA comes last in service survey

Good for Telkom. They can provide pathetic service and say it's the norm at the same time.

The gavamant will deny this and say its an attack on the ANC

Please guys - the topic is about South Africa's service....not about racism, or apartheid...or any of that ....its about service.

I agree that the service is shocking. If I am not happy with a company's service, I will have my say....If I am paying for a service, I expect good service. If the bad service continues, I stop using the vendors services. Alot of people just accept bad service....I reckon, if they brought in competitive advertising it would change things....

I wonder if eNatis was a factor in this decision. It's sad when something made to make a process quicker makes it alot slower :P

The service in SA is shocking and not surprising that SA is last on the list.

Although there are some improvements thanks to Hello Peter, although should we really have to revert to a consumer watchdog to get semi-decent service every time?

Shouldnt these companies try improve their level of service BEFORE people have to force them to up their levels by listing them on the internet?

Sadly, probably not.
Surveys like these take time to collate, compile, and check.

On the plus side, the inclusion of eNATIS would not have changed our position - we would STILL have been last.
Ditto for the strike action.

Every country should be good at at least one thing.
Ours is coming last.

No, its just bad when there's nobody worse off than you anymore...

They did not include all countries - Iraq may have a worse infrastructure.
On the plus side though, they don't have race quotas for sport.
:D

Government service

Just to note that this article is specifically about service provided by governments and not the general service industry.

It helps to read the article...

I did - and I was refering to government (non) service.

Government/non-government ... service still suks big time. Worst of all, when you do take the trouble to complain - nothing ever changes.

What about Zim ;) :D

Oh I see the U.S came third. That explains the silence :D

The Yank TSA, airport police and Border Police guys are actually very friendly :). I had a problem with a few staff at the airline I was using but
the government employed guys were very friendly and approachable.
