CD Ripping software?

Hi just wondering what software one uses for this? I've not done this in ages but now my sister dropped off two handfuls of cd's she wants put on her ipod. Cool thing i notice is cd's are auto detected album art and track names etc auto in windows media player but anyway i was wondering if there is other software i should use or just use wmp?
 
If its going onto an ipod how about itunes? :)
 
I've used FreeRip a couple of times. It's freeware and seemed to work alright when I used it :) I found another program in a quick Google search: Free CD to MP3 although I have no personal experience with it !
 
well.. ROFL i haven't used itunes for anything except pushing things to ipod hahaha. hrm does it auto do the album art and cd identification? I usually stick it on my pc as a central resource.
 
I strongly recommend CDex, its easy and lets you know if there are any errors in the recording, if there are errors, then you can try the highly configurable, but consequently difficult to use EAC (Exact Audio Copy).

My recommendation as well, package has been around for as long I can remember.

Make sure to rip it to an ipod compatible format the first time around. ;)
