I've been through the threads on downloading and installing the new Vodafone 3G software for linux, but am unable to install it as it is giving me the python-twister dependency story. Problem is, how can I apt-get python if I can't get a connection to the internet in the first place? Am I missing something?

I need to get this to work via the 3g card, as I have tried to connect to the repositories via my SBS network at work, but I keep getting a message that ISA needs authentication, even though I have set up Synaptic to authenticate correctly under 'Settings'.

At this point I would welcome any suggestions/ideas that anyone might have.

I'd suggest you use wvdial for starters to get connected to the internet. TazzTux put the necessary wvdial.conf on this forum some time ago. Then you can apt-get all you need ...

Yep, that's exactly what I did --> connected via Tazz's wvdial file and did the required updates.:)
