Now this is an ANC mayor, thats head and shoulders above he's fellow party men

I remember the idiot from potch (and here it was the mayor), also once told aardklop to become a "representative festival", ergo your afrikaans festival is racist, or run the risk of loosing funding from the municipality. So they kindly reminded him, uhm he can stuff he's R60000 a year he gives them (they mostly reside on university property), and they will fund themselves out of the millions they make, and not give a cent, so he quickly realised how diverse the festival really is

Luckily he got the hint. :D I've also noticed there's been no mention of politics etc. as far as the Grahamstown festival's concerned this year, guess they're more interested in the R50 million revenue than anything else. ;)

Yip, its amazing how diverse we suddenly become when the gravy train derails, but lets not take anything away from this mayor, so both thumbs up to him

# that Innibos should provide financial support for disadvantaged artists and cultural groups;
aren't most artists disadvantaged as it is?
