Digital Planet says online shopping is safe

How safe is that faxed copied of your credit card? what prevents someone to sell that to a third party? including your id book?

I Have To Agree, Digital Shopping Generally is Safe. Perhaps I'm oversimplifying things, but the overwhelming majority of stores are legitimate and there are significant protections in place for credit card users putting most of the liability on the shoulders of creditors. I recently read an article on how to start an online store at http://www.wikihow.com/Start-an-Online-Store which was quite helpful.

Bollocks, these exact companies only make an imprint of the front side of your card, and it is not a photo copy. These exact companies do not have access to your CSV number which is required for all internet purposes. However DigitalPlanet will have ALL the details necessary to purchase something from your card, unlike the companies who make only an impression. I fully agree with the author, I will cancel any and all transactions that require me to send them both sides of my card.
 
Digital shopping is safe more often than not. The only time when there's any significant risk is if you're using an unsafe computer, for example at an internet cafe. I, personally, refuse to access my onling banking, paypal, etc at an internet cafe simply because of the risks involved in even TYPING those passwords/usernames.

I am currently fighting with DP over refunding me after they took three payments for one transacation! - it has been going on for a month and I can't find the MD's email address on the site as per the article. From my experience they are the fraudsters on the net!
 
Online shopping is safe! thats the way to go, and a plus is you eliminate all the stupid shop sales people that give you crap advice on products you want to buy!
